This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DiveShack Pro on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

There was a recent review on the free-version of Dive Shack expressing concern as to why the app allows the read contacts permission and allows the phone to dial numbers. The ONLY reason the app allows contact reads are to allow users to insert present contacts into dive buddy, physician, etc fields without having to type the name in each time(still under development). The dial numbers permission is used in the hyperbaric chamber look-up. The app does NOT make ANY calls, but will open the phone with the number ready to be dialed. The user must physically place the call. We felt this feature would limit the need to dial numbers in case of emergency, offering instead, a means to quickly contact the selected chamber.

We hope this explanation help clear up any confusion. Dive Shack, nor Logix, have no interest in your contact information aside from making the app easier for you to use. Nor are we interested in placing phone calls. These features are simply to provide a better app for you, our users.
