This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Dive Shack on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Updated phone and was unable to access diver info. Sent an email to Logix and they had it fixed with an update posted in a few hours! Great diving app with fantastic support! App was a hit on the boat during a recent trip to Cancun.

I want to export my log to another device and when I export it tells me its done but where the hell did it go? How do you export the log and then import to the new device with Dive Shack already installed?

But when loaded it has access to all your personal info, plus can dial out as needed, why is a log program downloading all my contacts as well. WTF

Dive Shack is your SCUBA Diving Mobile Toolkit.
Dive Shack contains:
*SCUBA Diving Logbook complete with dive profile
*SCUBA Certification Management
*SCUBA Tables for No Decompression, Nitrox32, and Nitrox36.
*Hyperbaric chamber DB with maps.
*Personal medical info (in case of emergency).

There was a recent post expressing concern as to why the app allows the read contacts permission and allows the phone to dial numbers. The only reason the app allows contact reads are to allow users to insert present contacts into dive buddy, physician, etc fields without having to type the name in each time(still to be implemented). The dial numbers permission is used in the hyperbaric chamber look-up. The app does not MAKE any calls, but will open the phone with the number ready to be dialed. The user must still physically place the call. We felt this feature would limit the need to dial numbers in case of emergency, offering instead, a means to quickly contact the selected chamber.

We hope this explanation help clear up any confusion. Dive Shack, nor Doozii, have no interest in your contact information aside from making the app easier for you to use. Nor are we interested in placing phone calls. These features are simply to provide a better app for you, our users.
