This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Live Portrait on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. You have to upload a video in conjunction with you photo! Everyone putting bad reviews on this app does not understand how it works. Your photo that you took does not have a video memory that someone can magically pull from your brain! Someone has to create a video and upload it in conjunction with the photo you would like it to play with when scanned. As a professional photographer this is a wonderful extra something special to share with my clients. Thank you!

Taking a picture is impossible. It scans and scans yet never takes a picture. Its hard to understand what to do since theres no shutter button or any explanination except 'scan pic'...heavily diasappointed. I wanted to see my 2 year old deceased son smile at me one last time to no avail

I literally couldn't even use the app because the screen was dark and there was nothing I could do! I tried resetting the app but not even that worked! Bad app, can't even work upon opening. If I could leave a zero star, I would!

The people giving this app bad reviews do not understand what the app is. Once you upload your video then you can scan the specific image associated with it. I enjoy it and my customers enjoy it.

Quick install and worked perfectly immediately. As I used it my 1st thought was that I wished ALL print media used this app and how easily I, I mean you, 😉 could market it. Good job.

It doesn't work. I bought a post card that supposed to use this app. The app scans the picture but nothing happens.

The Live Portrait app is something in between. They’re the normal photos you take and print, but they come alive with an embedded video clip that will always be there when you feel like remembering the moment.

Specifically, our mobile app enables photographers, publishers, and content creators to use their traditional printed images as a key to 'unlock' a video to create a more engaging experience.

In today’s digital smartphone world, if the photo is important enough to print, the video clip, which we call ‘a story in every picture’ is equally important.

Photographers:

• Take Live Portraits at the same time you’re taking photos using your existing equipment and current operating workflow. Every photo you take can become a Live Portrait.
• Live Portraits are only viewable by customers who purchase your photos. Our subscription based pricing model gives you control of the initial sale and future subscription income.

How the App Works:

The magic happens when our software analyzes the printed image by creating a mathematical model based on shapes, lines, proportions, colors and other elements. It then matches the model against images already in Live Portrait's database. When a match is found what you see is what looks like a 3D, mapped digital video playing on top of a print…living in the physical world.

Please note that our app scanner ONLY works with printed pictures that have Live Portrait videos enabled.

Live Portrait works with high powered Android devices using 8.0 ‘Oreo’ or above. Also, Live Portraits work best with a strong Wi-Fi or internet connection.
