Outdated app; says "Wifi connection not detected"

Says 'Wi-Fi connection not detected" and won't do anything else. I'm connected to Wi-Fi and want to play a local file anyway. Garbage app, doesn't work.

Simply doesn't work. Insists that there is no wifi connection, but there is as I've just installed from the play store.
