Bicycle cross-country referred to as BMX, full name is BICYCLE MOTOCROSS is in the late 70s in the United States the rise of a bike cross-country movement. Racing BMDs are significantly different from freestyle off-road bikes. The International Cycling Federation began sponsoring the World Volleyball Tournament (UCI BMX World Championships). At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the BMX tournament became the first official event of the Olympic Games.
