Los taxistas de Machala mencionan que la tarifa no está "homologada" y cobran lo que ellos quieren, mas no lo que dice el taxímetro. La idea de un servicio de este tipo a parte de la comodidad del servicio es tener una tarifa la cual es provista por el taxímetro y no por el taxista!
