Absolute trash - DO NOT BUY! This system is unreliable, the app has nonsensical error messages (when it actually reacts), and Kirio customer service won't respond for weeks at a time when you have a problem. When you do get a customer support person to respond to you, they'll treat you like an idiot and don't provide any way to manage your own system. Instead, if you ever want to add, remove, or change a device you have to wait around for someone to do it for you. This applies whether you're replacing a broken camera or just upgrading your wifi. Furthermore, the device solves a problem that does't exist. For thousands of dollars you get one terrible app that does a poor job of managing many devices in one place. Instead, you can get the same functionality for free (or very cheap at least) using Google Home / Alexa / HomeKit. This product would have been great in 2010 when home automation was new and nothing worked together, but it's 2020 and there are better solutions.

Great idea and UI however you can't connect unless on the Kirio wifi...kinda defeats a big pro of the app and selling point of Kirio

Amazing interface and extreme ease of use. Super responsive system locally or over the Internet. Kirio is the future of HA

About this app

SIMPLE ENROLLMENT

Take 4 steps to be in control of your Kirio home. The enrollment process is fast and as simple as snapping a picture!

LOCATION AWARE AND LOCAL CONTROL

The app works with your local WiFi and does not need to connect to the cloud. The dashboard knows when you are home or away, so that you can focus on the details that matters.

For when you are away from home, the control is as fast and easy.

TRUE AUTOMATION

Using your phone as a remote control is smart, but your home becomes truly intelligent when it can respond to your actions in order to save energy and protect your assets.

Kirio is designed to be able to be used without constant management; being contextually aware of all aspects of your home, it becomes the intelligence able to simply augment your daily life in order to increase convenience, comfort and efficiency.

ROOMS AND DEVICES

The app logically shows where each device is located and instantly brings the basic day-to-day controls. For more advanced controls, find them in the device management tab along with explanation on their use.

Your important safety and security devices will be front and center, depending on your location with 1-tap access to tripped sensors or video cameras.

House-wide devices like your heat, ventilation or energy metering is shown in the Global list.

SCENARIOS

Quickly setup your scenarios either by taking a snapshot and triggers, or customizing them.
Scenarios are 1-tap access to how your home should feel and behave. They are for everything Kirio can control, not just lights!

In addition, Kirio gives you the choice to share your scenarios with other members of your household or keep them private.

USERS AND CONTROL

The 1st user to register becomes the house master and approves everyone else. Control is granular and can give you local access only or even a read-only access.

PLEASE NOTE: The use of the app requires a professionally installed Kirio at your home or office.

If you believe you are the master and your Kirio system is not approving you as such, Press and hold the MagicButton for more than 30s and when the LED blink orange, confirm master access with 3 clicks. Confirmation will be a fast blinking green LED.
