Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing UberColorPicker Demo on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Good dialog. Would make sense for the demo to be a better end-user app. Trackball works fine for me. Trackball click should do something.

Trackball doesn't work but it's the easiest way to pick colors out of all the apps out there.

I love it, but the download was a 404. Would also use via intent.

About this app

A demo of the UberColorPickerDialog class I created (a basic color picker), derived from the API Demos ColorPickerDialog example. Any developers can use or modify this class as they see fit: http://keithwiley.com/Downloads/AndroidUberColorPickerDemo.zip.

New features

v1.1 adds HTML colors, smoother gradients, other UI improvements.
v1.2 fixes a bug when you choose to disable some of the methods.
