Great exception-style reporting. Stays out of the way until it's time for you to pay attention to weather conditions.

Provides weather alerts quicker than Google Now.

But constantly shows useless alerts, like "short term forecast" and "special weather statements" which always end up being very mediocre. Been using this for months, and I don't recall it ever NOT having some alert displayed. Alert for drizzle, alert for 80f sunny day, alert for too much sun, etc. I only want to see severe weather alerts.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A lot of weather apps support dash clock, but none of them put weather alerts in dash clock

Love this extension, nicely done. Very useful to me.

About this app

A simple DashClock Widget extension for displaying weather watches, warnings, and advisories for your current location. It's the perfect addition to your Android lock or home screen.

Weather Alerts uses the National Weather Service API to provide you with severe weather, right on your lockscreen or home screen.

Some Notes

This application requires Android 4.2 or higher, and the DashClock app to function: http://goo.gl/m5aUO

This application uses your last known location, rather than polling for your current location, to help conserve battery. This means that your location may not be up to date.

Weather Alerts is meant to provide additional weather information for the DashClock widget. It is NOT a replacement for a real time weather alert system, like NOAA weather radio. Please watch or listen to your local weather brodcasts for information on severe weather near you.

Weather Alerts for DashClock uses the United States National Weather Service API to provide watch and warning alerts. For this reason it is not currently available outside the US.

New features

1. Better prioritization for which alert gets shown in the title.
2. Now lists all current alerts, instead of just the first one.
