This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing JS Player on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

● Functions and features

- Plays video files that exist on the device's internal storage and micro SD card.
- Based on FFmpeg library.
- Supports mp4, mkv, webm, ts, mts, m2ts, mpg, mpeg, wmv, avi, flv, 3gp, flv, divx, asf, mov, m4v, f4v, ogv files (containers).
- Except for H.265(HEVC) files, all others are played with SW decoding.
- H.265(HEVC) files are played with HW decoding. (This means your device must support H.265 HW decoding).
- Shows the multi-subtitle, multi-audio streams(tracks) embedded in the file, one of which can be selected.
- Supports audio-only playback (audio background playback)
- Supports external subtitle files in two formats. Subrip (srt) and SAMI (smi).
- Customizable subtitle color(10colors), size, height, border, and shadow.
- Supports selection of an external font file for subtitle (ttf, otf).
- Supports 4:3, 16:9, 21:9 and other aspect ratios.
- Ability to adjust subtitles, audio sync.
- Remember last playback position. (on/off in settings).
- Custom codec is required to play certain audio encoding formats (E-AC3, DTS, True HD). You can download a custom codec from the JS Player home -> 'Custom Codec' page.

● Currently, the app does not support network connection functions such as FTP and HTTP protocols inside the app, but it can be played through other file manager apps (by opening with another app).
