About this app

KidScanner gives you control over who may pick up your kids from school, class, church, creche, play school, the babysitting service, or anywhere else you need to leave your kids in other’s care.

Start by loading your profile and your kids onto your App. Other people who you trust to pick up or drop off your kids create their profiles on their apps and link to your profile. A unique one-time pin ensures that not just anybody can link to your profile.

Schools, creches, babysitting services, churches, play schools, or other places taking care of kids register venues by contacting support@johnsonwalters.com and link app users as teachers for their venues. Using the KidScanner app the teacher can accept kids into the venue or class. All venues go through a verification process to unsure that they are legitimate.

Parents scan kids into a venue by scanning the QR Code on the teacher’s app.

The teacher has immediate access to medical information for every kid in their care, for example that the kid has asthma and the spare inhaler is in the bag, and is able to see emergency contact details for the parent if they need to get hold of them quickly.

When a person comes to pick up the kid, the teacher scans the QR Code on the person’s app, and can immediately see which kids in their care are allowed to be picked up by that person. If they are not linked to the parent’s profile, they can not pick up the kid.
