This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Big Pixel (8-bit icons) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

You will need a compatible launcher that supports custom icon packs. Compatible with Go Launcher, Apex Launcher, Nova Launcher, ADW Launcher, Holo Launcher, Action Launcher, Smart Launcher and more. Note that this is not a standalone app. Apply icon pack from launcher's settings after install. For best result set the icon size to 95%.

To apply custom icons:
Apex Launcher and Nova Launcher Prime: Place shortcut on homescreen > Long press on shortcut and select Edit > Press on the app icon > Select (from) Icon Pack > Select Big Pixel > Choose the icon you want to apply.

Desktop Visualizer: at the DVR setup screen > Press Select Icon > Select Others > Select Big Pixel > Choose the icon. (Custom icons are located at the end of the list)
