This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing iGlo Lighting NZ on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Really bad app. I bought the bulb and downloaded the app and they both worked for about 6 months. The bulb still works but the app is always crashing and doesn't even connect to the bulb anymore. The amount of times I have done the "flick the switch 3 times to reset" thing is crazy. It does not work. Fix it ASAP!!!

Absolute garbage. Out of 3 I bought, one was dead on arrival, the other two wouldn't connect to my iot 2.4ghz network. Complete waste of time. Mitre10 needs to withdraw these devices. I'll be in for a refund tomorrow.

Terrible app. Doesn't work at all. Used to have to reconnect lamps often, now can't even get into the app, just crashes with broken English fault messages. Tried all versions.

Worst app ever. it crashes and crashes and crashes. Some research via Google suggests that that app may have security issues in that it may reveal your home wifi SSID and Password. All that aside, the app simply does not work. I followed the instructions, step by step but the app will not run long enough to get it set up. Am in uninstalling now and will change my WiFi password.

App is unusable, failing to connect in the way detailed in the instructions. This renders the product practically unusable. Some functions are poorly considered, for example it is impossible to select the full colour range because the pallet reaches out to the border of the screen: as you strive for red, you hit the limit at purple.

By installing one, or multiple iGlo devices, you can have full control of the lighting in your home or business.
1.) Pre - set modes –select from scenes designed to match your mood. Whether it’s a quiet night in or time to entertain, there is an option for you.
2.) Dimming – set a brightness level that works best for you.
3.) Rooms – setup your lighting by room. If you have a big home, no worries, just keep adding more rooms….
4.) Virtual Switching – this allows you to create groups within each room. Think of them like a light switch, used to control sections of lights within a room, but with a whole lot more options!!
5.) Alarms and timers – if you are looking to wake up naturally using a dim light that slowly brightens or flashing lights for those sleepy teens… There are multiple options available to choose from.
6.) Customisation – there are so many ways to make the app work for you. Create your own pre-sets, room configurations, colour selections, favourites, defaults and so much more.
