Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Visual Tiles on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

As a VJ, control the Visual Experience, choose which visual tiles are displayed. Trigger effects, change tile and background colors, and more!

A User can add "Visual Tiles" to the main tile canvas. Each visual tile can have a drawn graphic and can have effects assigned to them by the Moderator (VJ).

The app can then be put into Presenter Mode and display the main canvas and its tiles and tile effects. The Presenter listens for updates to tiles (swapping tile images with new ones) and changes to the tiles' colors and effects. The Presenter view on a device can be shown on a video wall or screen using Chromecast, or direct connection to the device if the device supports it.

Users can use the app to join the event and create visual tiles, drawing and sharing creations of their own for everyone at the event to see. The tiles they create are added to a queue from which the Moderator user can select and add to the main visual canvas.
