About this app

Ashtavinayaka means "eight Ganeshas" in Sanskrit. The Ashtavinayaka yatra or pilgrimage covers the eight ancient holy temples of Ganesha which are situated around Pune.
Each of these temples has its own individual legend and history. These Temples are situated at Morgaon, Ranjangaon, Theur, Lenyadri, Ojhar, Siddhatek, Pali and Mahad.
It is said that first you have to visit Moreshwar of Morgaon. Then visit the rest of the temples and then again a visit Morgaon will end you Ashtavinayak Yatra. Though this is ideal, a trip to all these eight temples at least once is considered a life time fulfillment of every devout Hindu.
