About this app

With the Patient Consent App, patient consents for registration and retrieval of new documents can be declared and managed.

As a user of the app, you can search for patients based on their demographics. After selecting a patient, contact details as well as all granted consents and contradictions (opt-in, opt-out) can be viewed. To avoid confusion, patients are identified by name, gender, date of birth, and patient ID.

The view of the consent statements shows all facilities and networks for which an access right exists. In order to record a consent institution, expiry date as well as input and query of access must be filled.

The situational opt-out is only relevant for participants of the Austrian ELGA initiative. It can be recorded for documents whose results are not yet available and limit the registration rights for these documents for a certain period of time.
For patients who do not want to have documents registered on the network, an opt-out can be declared. If this happens, no document will be registered in the domain for this patient.

The app is compliant with security standards and national and international data security policies.
