For what we needed, this app and system works great and was cost effective. My grandson's apartment at school was broken into and we needed a way to monitor it for the times he was not home. This system was fairly easy to install and to program thru the phone app. We have basic, "we monitor", service. If a door or window opens a call is sent to his cell phone and a silent notification is sent to mine. We can open the camera and see who is in there.

I've been using Iris for several yrs and at one time had three homes . I was able to connect at each one from one device even though I had three hubs. I get notifications when the system picks up movement outside. it has been great. the only time I have to re enter my log on info is when there has been an update. every time that I had to call for help it was fixed with in 30 min depending the issue. I'm down to 1 house and a shop so I can monitor each place separately. thank you.

I have the wifi outdoor smart plug. What a waste of money. I have followed all the directions and made sure everything that is supposed to be on is on. Evidently, although I dont see it written anywhere, you can only pair the stupid thing with one device because it paired to my husband phone however it will not pair with mine. I hate this thing. I have to call my husband to ask him to turn the thing off when I leave the house or wake him up at night so he can turn it off when I go to bed.

Worked okay for a year or so after a lot of calls to their support team. Now the only thing that I get is notifications that this device has lost connection or has reconnected. Supports only answer is to un-pair and then to re-pair, that fixes the problems for a couple of hours. Waste of money! I still stand by my review. Although everything worked at one time, I was told that I had to rearrange my devices so that they were closer to each other. After rebuilding the Z-wave network again, the system still doesn't work correctly. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. I have the system set up, no thanks to the missing and brief instructions. I tried to buy an Iris Camera, but the store couldn't find one even though their computer said they had one. I wanted to buy 3 light control plugs and was excited that they were on sale. When I asked for a price check they said they weren't on sale I showed them the item and price on my phone and they said they had one, but couldn't find it. I patiently waited as they check stores nearby where that specific item was supposed to be there and every one ended not being found. I left empty handed. Sigh!

I have a love hate relationship with Iris. There is alot about Iris that I think is amazing but considering Iris isnt a new product I feel that there are to many glitches still. Products are hit and miss. Some products work flawlessly and some when they want to. My Orbit 12 station irrigation timer NEVER works the way I program it. The batteries are constantly dying. They need to find a better solution to longevity on powering their products. Also, the products you have are very limited. You haven't came out with new products in I dont even know!!!! I've been a Iris loyalist since the beginning and have stuck by your side listening to the whole things will be better with the 2nd generation. Well I'm not satisfied with the amount of money I've invested.
