I just purchased an ion Air Pro Lite WiFi and everything seems to work fine with the app. Maybe the people trying to use it are messing something up? The app has you connect to your wifi network, then connect to to the camera dongle. In order to connect to the camera you must select it a your phone's wifi network first! That's the most important step! -1 star because I haven't tested it fully, will update in a week or two.

The WIFI will not allow you to configure or connect to your phone via the app unless you turn off your mobile data in my phone (Samsung GS5). Turn off your mobile data to stream controls and view to your phone. The instructions do not tell you that and tech support is useless. They'll just issue you an RMA# to return the camera so they can diagnose. They said it takes 10 days not including shipping time. Turn off your mobile data to link your phone to the camera for streaming functions.

It takes a little time to start up and there's no indicators to let you know your phone or camera are ready to link. I just needed a way to line up a shot for timelapses and to make sure the view isn't blocked when mounted. I don't use the app(or wifi pod) when I actually start filming. You have to jump through a few hoops(watch a youtube tutorial) to get it started, but it works for my needs.

Installed and connected to my Ion air pro lite with ease. Hint: I connected directly through my LgG3 first, then installed the app and connected through it, no problems. Gave 4/5 because streaming is choppy and app closed unexpectedly twice. But I only needed it to check the view angle, and it achieved that. So I'm happy.

I got the app so i can fly my quadcopter around my house with good WiFi connec. Instead the app would crash or have me sign back in, i bought a secound ion camera and the same would happen. Couldnt even get my quad off the ground before the camera would disconnect. No aerial footage or live streaming FPV. So this cam, is basically like any other..i bought me a (Cool i Cam) from the wal store for $50, works just as good as this $180 ion wifi lite without the wifi, here in colorado. Fix this SHITTYAPP.thx

at times I would open the app and connect to the camera to be told I need to upgrade my software firmware. okay but I just downloaded every update your website has. useless for streaming and remote options. super laggy and slow and then freezes. restart the app and reset the camera then repeat the whole process again! camera is great if it works, about once out of every ten tries!
