Only works when your phone is connected to the same network the camera is connected to. So cellular, friends/public wifi is a no go. Has been like this for over 3 months of writing this. Stay away from Swann for all your camera needs. I also have swann home safe view for my 8 camera system and it's also a mess. I have to exit and reopen the app atleast 3 times for it to successfully connect to my DVR at home and no it's not a internet speed problem.

Update 3/2021. I decided to get my camera out of the box in the shed and try and give it another chance.. well I am still experience issues with it not displaying the live feed and I can't playback about 8/15 events. I thought that the update at the start of this year would have fixed a lot of previous issues but nope. What a waste of time and money so trust me don't make the same mistake I did

The app continuously says that they are working on a fix because the cameras are not viewable through these swan cloud app. I've had these a connected almost two weeks now and they are still not working.

What good is a security camera if it only works when you're on the same network as the camera? Awesome. Don't waste your money on this company.

How much more time do you need to fix the problems with live views at present which a pop up message says you are aware of?
