Dryden’s Trailblazer app rewards you for exploring our incredible local businesses and abundant lakes, parks, and trails. Use the Dryden Trailblazer application to make your mark on our community.

Dryden is a community in motion. It is a diverse environment alive with activity, commerce, and recreation. The Trailblazer application is a tourism tool that you can use to explore everything Dryden has to offer. Dryden is surrounded by nature. It is connected to the environment with plenty of lakes, parks and trails just minutes away. The Trailblazer application brings together Dryden’s best outdoor experiences and rewards you for touring the community and the businesses and services that call this Northwestern Ontario city home.

Create an Account
With a Dryden Trailblazer account, you can collect points and redeem them for goods or services at reward locations throughout Dryden.

Explore
The Explore button takes you to the map of the City of Dryden, which has pins indicating the location of places of interest and businesses where you can collect or redeem points. Clicking on each pin on the map gives you more information about that location.

Collect Points
Many locations are assigned a points value. Points can be collected when you are within the GPS range of a location and have a connection to the internet. Tapping the “Collect Points” button, while physically visiting the location, will add that location’s points to your points total. To keep earning points, explore more locations throughout Dryden. You can track your points total on “Your Account” page.

Redeem Rewards
Once you collect enough points, those points can be redeemed for goods or services at Dryden Trailblazer reward locations. Reward locations are indicated in the app. Select the place where you would like to redeem your reward. Tapping the “Redeem Rewards” button, while physically at a rewards location, will bring up a keypad for the place owner to enter a code to deduct points from your point total in exchange for your reward. You must have an internet connection to redeem points.

Find a place you want to let others know about? The Share button on each location’s page allows you to share information about that place via your social media channels.

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
