The BC Economic Development Association (BCEDA) is an independent and non-profit association of professionals engaged in the economic development of BC and its municipalities. Today’s membership embraces a broad spectrum of economic development practitioners across a variety of professions and at all levels of the public and private sectors; each adding specialized knowledge to the existing and ever-expanding resources of BCEDA.


How the BCEDA Insider App Works

Create an Account
With a BCEDA Insider account, you can collect points, and redeem them for rewards at Rewards locations around British Columbia.

Explore
The Explore button takes you to the map of British Columbia, which has pins indicating member Economic Development offices, Community Futures and Chamber of Commerce offices where you can collect points by just visiting. Clicking on each pin on the map gives you more information about that location.

Collect Points
Many locations are assigned a point value, which can be collected when you are within GPS range of a location and have a connection to the internet. Pushing the “Collect Points” button while physically visiting a location will add the location’s points to your point total. To keep earning points, explore more locations. You can track your point total on your Account page.

Redeem Rewards
Once you collect enough points, those points can be redeemed at Rewards locations around British Columbia. Select the place where you would like to redeem your reward. Hitting the “Redeem Rewards” button while physically at a Rewards location will bring up a key pad for the place owner to enter a code to deduct points from your point total in exchange for your reward. You must have an internet connection to redeem points. BCEDA is working to determine the types of rewards that will be offered.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
