It was a really good app but now the news page contains distracting Machine Mart and other adverts on the same pages which is really unnecessary and annoying and will probably delete if it persists. Machine Mart and most other advertisers have their own sites so if I wanted to see them I'd use their respective apps.

About this app

Visit THE Hebrides has been designed for use by both local islanders and visitors to Lewis and Harris. Restaurants, local landmarks, beaches, archaeological sites and shops are listed with Google Maps to navigate you directly there. Phone numbers are pre-programmed to allow easy calling, for example to make reservations. Districts are listed with all their attractions so that it is easy to plan days out. There are loads of reviews from both Google and Tripadvisor to help choose what to do. Accommodation, ferries and flights are all easily booked from within the app so that if you are travelling to or from the islands then it is simple to plan your journey and book it online from just one app. Local use websites such as "Hebrides News", XC Weather, "We Love Stornoway", "Ship AIS" and "CalMac Service Status" are all here too. If we can make it better, please let me know.
