This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Behind the Wall® on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Behind the Wall® is an AR app to discover street art. It works both like an audio-guide and a platform to engage with the Art.

This is about turning the streets into an outdoor museum for all. This is about Art with an Impact, Art for Social Change!

How it works:
Find a mural on the app map or at www.streetartmankind.org
Look at the mural through your phone. The artwork is recognized automatically.
You can start to hear stories about the artwork, the artist … and even make a cool selfie with the “Cool Pics” feature that you can share on social media to take action.

Stories are told by activists, celebrities, United Nations dignitaries, Cities' officials, survivors of trafficking, children of communities … Street artists will also share with you their inspiration.

The App was fully reshaped in January 2021.
