The connection needs to become more stable and much faster. I shouldn't have to wait in the dark for "Finding Devices" every time I come home from the office, it should remember my devices so I instantly can turn a light on or off. If I could return my lights to IKEA I would and then get a system from one of their competitors. Edit: Removing a star since no effort from IKEA has been made to fix this after all this time. It's been years and the app is still near worthless.

I am changing a previous review. You can move plugs to their own catagory, you can't move controllers however. Not the most user friendly experience. The smart devices are cheap and straight up great once you get it working. However the app has limited functionality and to call it a smart app is a bit misleading. Good for what it is but suggest moving to a 3rd party solution if you want more out of the devices.

Voice commands to change color ignored first time after switch on: To reproduce: - set color to white - switch off the lights - switch on the lights - (wait a few seconds to allow them to connect to the hub) - trigger a google assistant command: "change the color to incandescent" - the colour would stay white - if at this point you say another command to change the color it would work. e.g. "change the color to warm white". Scenes are not integrated with Google Home. Lack of bug report channel

On startup app just said 'Required update applied' even though I have auto update turned off. Looked at what's new and it said music in timers added. That's a really poor reason to have an update that disregards your specific request not to update. Back to one star.

This app sucks. Every time it pushes an update it destroys connectivity with Google home requiring all hardware involved to be manually power cycled. Frequently I have to remove products and re-add them to the app. I haven't added any new hardware so whatever these stupid updates are are completely unnecessary for my home. Of course the hardware updates itself without any ability to stop it so I keep getting my network effed up for junk I will never purchase.

It's easy to use, but misses a feature for my use-case. I would like to be able to dim the lights to a specific level at a certain time (the app seems to only support shutting off the lights). This would be really nice to get your melatonin levels lower in the evening. EDIT: Modified review and raised from 3 to 4 stars after IKEA responded with help which worked, thanks! EDIT2: Now has all things I asked for in earlier reviews, raising to 5 stars!
