The roaster deserves 10 stars, the App works flawlessly to connect your roaster to any roasting recipe (that you can download or create by yourself..). Customer service is the best part of all.. One glitch after an App update and customer service replied to the complaint immediately, took responsibility and fixed it within days..

IKAWA home is an APP that is designed to steer you to buying beans from IKAWA. You can create your own recipes, but it is just too hard. If I had a customer hat on, I would have four modes. 1) Easy Life - scan your QR code from IKAWA (who could also licence the codes to any coffee seller) and job done. 2) Free Style On Your Own Mode - everything can be tuned - this is what the app has at the moment. No advice or help. If you know what you are doing, then great. If you don't - roll dice as it's just too hard for normal people 3) Personal Trainer Mode - Here, the purpose is to ask lots of questions about beans and recommend a roast - a best guess based on what is known. 4) The mindful scientist. This takes the output from the personal trainer mode, and creates batches that are similar but change parameters in a structured way. The drinker then tries each roast and records if they are better or worse. If the crowd were able to collaborate in this ... think of the data IKAWA could create to monetize with business and identify trends as they occur.. An army of tasters could confirm what the public actually like. Sadly, this app is a long way from being outstanding. If you want to scan a QR code from beans sold by IKAWA and go straight to roasting, it's fantastic. Sadly, there is no alternative, it just could have been so much better.

Great! This latest version has vastly improved UX!! I love the sensitivity adjustment to the plot points, plus the time toggle setting. UI is almost perfect, still room for minor tweaks. Thank you!
