About this app

The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild (ICBG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the development and expansion of the craft beer industry in Illinois. Founded in 1997, ICBG focuses its efforts on member and consumer education, legislation and regulatory advocacy, and the promotion of its member craft breweries.

Illinois Craft Beer Week (ICBW), the most anticipated celebration of craft beer and craft breweries across Illinois, is taking over the state May 18-25th. Featuring a mix of signature events hosted by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild and hundreds of events in breweries, bars, and restaurants from Chicago to Central and Downstate Illinois, ICBW is the premier weeklong festival for people who brew Illinois beer, drink Illinois beer, and support Illinois beer.

Why Illinois Craft Beer Week? Because hundreds of breweries and thousands of craft beer fans are located in communities across the state, from the Chicago suburbs to Central Illinois and Downstate. By making Craft Beer Week a statewide festival, we are bringing the excitement and passion for craft beer to all those who support this vibrant and growing industry, enabling our breweries – no matter where they’re located – to take part in this time-honored tradition.

Trust us when we say, there’s never been a more exciting time for the Illinois craft beer industry! Just five years ago, there were approximately 50 craft breweries in Illinois. Today there are 225 craft breweries supporting nearly 16,000 jobs, from distribution and manufacturing to agriculture, hospitality and tourism. Brewery operations rely on Illinois suppliers and farmers and, in turn, they support and drive traffic to local businesses and restaurants, playing a role in the growth and development of communities across the state.
