Rec4Tech Community is glad to announce the official launch of Serfan โDonate a Breadโ, a concept initiated to not only feed the needy, but also to manage the food wastage in across the globe. We have successfully completed
the beta period.
What is Serfan?
It is a ready-to-use mobile application which allows you to donate your daily leftover food.The sole objective of the app is to initiate a Hunger free India Movement. Serfan, is not a concept to be limited to a certain region or area, but we aim to reach every hungry stomach and needy of every village, district, city and state of country. Our purpose views a society where no stomach sleeps hungry, and wastage of food is at its minimal.Serfan has been brought into picture, with an aim of establishing a collection and donation centre in every city wherein people join and contribute towards feeding the hungry, saving the wastage of food, and evolving a chain of donating and feeding.
What are the main features of Serfan Free Food App?
Here are some of the achievements that have been made during the Serfan app beta period.
1. Users can locate nearby free food available in their area.
2. Users can locate nearby free cloths and other households available in their area.
3. Users can choose to Donate Food, Cloths, other new or old households to be a donor of their locality.
(Donated food gets automatically deleted from server in 12 hours so end user sees only freshly donated edibles)
4. Users can sign up to be a Volunteer and help in food collection and distribution activities in their locality in their spare times.
5. Users can locate nearby volunteers of their locality.
6. Users can locate nearby donors of their locality.
7. Users can request for blood of any group in case of any medical emergency.
8. Users can opt to receive notifications if there's any emergency blood requirement in neighborhood matching
with their blood groups.
9. Users can locate and contact countrywide list of centers and operators profile display.
10. Users can rate stars and put feedback comments to volunteers and centers profile.
11. Donors get increasing stars. Every 10th donation increases 1 star on donors display profile. Event refreshes every month.
12. Users can share free food details, other donated item details, volunteer profiles, donor profiles and center details to social media directly through app.
