Spent 30 minutes installing fan and then 2 hours trying to get the app to work. Kept getting error 192.168.10.1 not accepting sync - not sure why it is trying to access that address. Not sure what to do with this fan... Bought it to work with echo. Hate the idea of uninstalling the fan and repacking it up. Likely will spend more time with customer support tomorrow...argh

App requires an email profile, why I have no idea. Hunter outsourced the app design to aylan Networks. Their confirmation email was so badly crafted, it can't actually confirm anything. From what I have seen of the app, I've seen better efforts by high school students. The overall fit and finish is lacking. Hunter, do us all a favor and partner with Lutron and or insteon and make your products interoperable rather than start from scratch.

You must reset with the remote (under battery cover, press and the button cutout) if it doesn't successfully connect the first time. Once it gets to the sync stage be sure you are back to being connected to your wifi not the fans wifi. The key is to repete the process till it connects, the apps timing for connecting and disconnecting is off. One more thing I'm petty sure this doesn't work on 5ghz networks but works fine at 2.4ghz network. So be sure you connect to your 2.4ghz before you attempt to connect with this app for the first time **Update** The app is really awful, it's slow, it's lacking features and some of the features such as dimming don't work unless you disable dimming and enable it. I wouldn't recommend this fan unless you bought it for the style and the "smart" aspect is just a "bonus".

The "smart" app is utter trash. Took forever to use the "simple" connect feature. Had to provide an email address. Unlike others, I was able to log in, but it seems excessive to have to log in to a third party system every time I want to manage my fan. The app has fan speed and dimmer controls, but they do not work well or consistently. The Apache fan has a built in LED light kit. When the fan is off, it flickers when I use the app to dim it. It does not flicker when the fan is on. The app is slow to connect and slow to respond. This is a poor finishing touch on an otherwise amazing fan. It would have been better for the fan to not even be connected rather than have the sorry piece of trash that is this app.

Slow and painful. Doesn't work sometimes but on the positive side it sometimes does work. Nothing good to say about it. Wish I could use it with Google Home.

This fan makes a LOUD beeping noise every time I press a button on the remote. Scares both pets. Can't get this stupid app to work after hours of trying and two useless unhelpful calls to Hunter Support. All I want to do is try to disable the beeping. Does not work on my S7 or my husband's old Android phone. Not available for download on iPads. Wish I had known the smart feature was absolute garbage before installing this fan.
