The average buying and selling exchange rates are based on the quotes provided by major Licensed Commercial Banks in Sri Lanka at 9.30 AM on daily basis, for Telegraphic Transfers (TT).

These rates are considered as the daily opening rates provided by Licensed Commercial Banks and are subject to change during the day due to the intra-day movement of the exchange rate.

"Gold Price"
The gold price is derived based on the gold price for one Troy Ounce in US dollar at the beginning of the business day and the Indicative US Dollar SPOT Exchange Rate (LKR per 1 USD).

Indicative US Dollar SPOT Exchange rate is the weighted average rate of all actual USD/LKR SPOT transactions executed throughout the previous business day in the domestic inter-bank foreign exchange market.

The indicative exchange rates are derived based on the world currency rates against US dollar at the beginning of the business day and the Indicative US Dollar SPOT Exchange Rate (LKR per 1 USD).
