Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Us*NoW on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Us*NoW is a research study app designed to provide health and wellness information and resources relevant to young people in Alabama. Us*NoWcovers a range of health and lifestyle topics to support users’ diverse backgrounds and varying needs over time.

Us*NoWwas created by Latesha Elopre MD, MSPH, a public health scientist at the Univeristy of Alabama at Birmingham in collaboration with Lisa Hightow-Weidman, MD, MPH, a Distinguished and Endowed McKenzie Professor at Florida State University’s College of Nursing and Founding Director of the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation.

Us*NoW users need a code to open the app. To learn more about the study, email prepusnow@uabmc.edu.
