Horrible App. Won't connect to WiFi and was forced to use offline mode which won't allow you to sync the lights. They need to fix this app. *Update* Got another set of these lights for a client and the app is just as terrible a year later. Can't connect them to WiFi using Android. Been through all the steps and it just gives me a connection error. Incredibly frustrating for the quality of the lights, which is quite good. They need to fix this problem as it's ruining an otherwise great product.

Absolutely appalling on Android, I have ReefLED 90's and Reef Wave 45s. All of them have frequent loss of connectivity and the REEFBEAT App frequently crashes. Until RED SEA produce a light with a backup method of control (other than removing power), I would strongly recommend that people do not buy red sea lights. The wave pump at least comes with a manual controller, but it can be seen as very expensive for a manual pump. The problem: I now have 2 reef light that cannot be controlled, Just Full power lights. is that the reefLED can be satisfactorily connected to both the mobile phone and then successfully connects to the home WIFI and a success is then shown. after that the device is not shown in the Reef Beat App. Having carried out some exhaustive testing, I found that the problem is related to to my WIFI mesh network, if I remove all of my WIFI repeaters, then I can connect to the lights and adjust them. It would appear that the RED SEA programming team have used too low a level of network interconnection to link the functions, in the same manner as many cheap WEBCAMs use, therefore not only do you need to be on the same WIFI network as the devices, but you need to be connected to the same exact WIFI device and repeaters will not work with the REEF Safe Android App, as currently designed. When our reef LEDs finally breakdown, we will change to lighting systems that can be controlled via our Aquarium Computers.

Absolutely horrible app. Doesn't support any of the products with any stability. Couldn't be more disappointed. I'll never purchase any red sea products ever again. Spent a ton of money on 5 red sea 90's and 2 wave 45's and can't even get then to work properly on the app. Red sea should be embarrassed about this very inconvenient issue. A great quality product without good online stability is just as good as any other mediocre product right out of a box. Thumbs down all the way.

The Reefwaves work great but the app can be very frustrating to work with. Ran into many problems with my first Reefwave 45 but worked fine when I finally did get it set up. Then bought a second 45 for alternate current, but that introduced even more issues. For example, it seems impossible to have the two pumps work anti-sync even though the option is there. Contacted support but all they told me is to reinstall the app and try again. Great devices but much room for improvement in this app!

After fighting to get it to connect to my internet. Which was a pain. I only did it since I can't just connect my phone to it and call it a day. Trying to figure out how to program it the way I want it is difficult. Granted I really haven't played with the ap much. But it will not allow me to adjust times for my cycles. I've tried to find videos or info to help. But searches are not coming up with any good results other than people praising the gyro pump I have.

Got the app for my reefwave yesterday and so far this thing is overcomplicated to use. Just trying to make adjustments to flow or simply set a wave mode is an absolute nightmare. The wave modes definately do not work as described. In forward direction I get full intensity, constantly . ...does not change no matter what program or intensity I set. The pump itself is very silent and well made. Assembling and disassembling was easy and quick. So if only it could be controlled.....
