This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Hik-Connect on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

This app works well BUT changes every couple of weeks??? Different navigation in app to view cameras... WHY?? It would be nice to log on after a couple of weeks and it's the same navigation to get to what I want to view as it was the last time I had to work it out. PLEASE STOP CHANGING THIS!!!

Keeps loading and loading, never showing me real time video. When I want/need to watch live, unfortunately I cannot as it never loads. What's the point in paying a lot of money for this kit when I cant see what's happening at my property while I'm out. I am disappointed, not happy with this at all.

This is a review of the app, not the DVR and cameras. My experience over about 3 months is very favourable - goes quickly to live view and mostly replays well. Only problems I have had are with the playback function, which occasionally fails but normally works after restarting the app. The camera selection process is not ideal but works. For some reason, I was unable to get the app to recognize the dvr device when I used the ocr tool but fine when I typed in the details manually - maybe a bug.

still not able to adjust the speed of my camera in playback through p2p. that option is not getting highlight at all. if any setting is there then please let me know..

as a user i never know which of the thousand hikvision apps to use. this one looks bit more modern. the floating window is not PIP, useless. the home screen wont show live previews. Useless again. so not much new comfort. just anothet painful procedure to simply view 2 cams. so to view cams you have to go to a subwindow once again...ohmy..devbots will never think like human beings. the smallest multiview is again terrbile 4x4 with microscopic windows to watch.. resume last view? useless - 1 cam
