This developer sucks! He doesn't respond to emails when you have issues he hasn't updated the app on over a year! Stay clear!!!!Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and reconnecting so it doesn't show speed like it should.

The app is exactly what I was looking for. If you are having issues pulling data from Waze you need to make sure waze is downloaded first. This app points to the directory of that app and pulls data that way . This app is Not for people who are not tech savvy. There is a lot of customization that you can do and once it's all set up PROPERLY, it does it's job well!

I'm not one to write reviews on here. I bought this to supplement my Redline and smartcord live direct wire. Absolutely fantastic. So much better than escort live , since this uses waze and shows traffic issues. Driving around this morning, got an alert of a cop hiding ahead. Got to location and he most certainly was. I travel in states that RDs are illegal, so now I think I have the ultimate protection system against VSP

Alerts aren't working. Other users online said the app is no longer worling and may need to be updated? I hope the developer will look into this. Seems like a fantastic app if working.

Tested with escort 9500ix using smart cord and working great, only issue every now and then I have to rotate the phone to refresh the map to properly reposition the GPS lock on so the position of the car following the map, not sure if this is a knowing bug or due to data and signal weak at that time, also notice PSL very inconsistent and stay red most of the time.

About this app

Escargot Drive is a 3-rd party companion application for Bluetooth-enabled ESCORT and Beltronics radar detectors. Escargot Drive receives radar alerts from supported detectors, shows them on a map, manages radar detector settings, and provides situational metrics to radar detectors (e.g. current speed).

Escargot Drive is also capable of tracking real-time location events of your choice (for example, accidents, weather conditions, police speed traps, traffic jams, delivery addresses) and displaying event data live on supported radar detectors' screens.

You need to set up your own alerts web service, or use an alert service provided by somebody else to receive and display location alerts in Escargot Drive. The application allows flexible integration with RESTful JSON web services that support HTTP GET or POST requests.

Permissions:
Escargot Drive needs: fine location, network, and bluetooth permissions. All other requested permissions are not used by the application, they are required for Google Maps to function properly.

*** Note that current version does not support Bluetooth LE, only regular Bluetooth is supported. The upcoming update will add Bluetooth LE support ***
