This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing HERE Indoor Radio Mapper on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

"License check failed: Maintenance break in the server. Try again later" eventhough all other services seem to be working and no indication of a maintance anywhere on the website. Is this app not supported anymore?

Not able to publish new indoor maps data. Error: Need a licensed Non demo version. Where do i get that from ?

The date of birth requirement should be deleted. Why do you need my date of birth to open your app? Secondly, when I put in my date of birth, the default calendar took me right back to this year. I did the edit to the correct date, and on hitting enter was given the response, "Sorry. We can't create an account for you." What a waste of my time.

HERE Indoor Radio Mapper is a tool to enable any venue with HERE Indoor Positioning. HERE Indoor Positioning is like GPS but for inside a building, providing accurate location within a few meters.

HERE Indoor Radio Mapper creates radio maps, which are collections of geo-referenced radio data (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth™), inside buildings. Wi-Fi access point and Bluetooth beacon signal strengths are leveraged to create this abstract map. The created radio map is consumed by HERE Mobile SDK , which provides applications accurate indoor location and floor information. To deploy HERE Indoor Positioning to a venue, there are four basic and one optional step.

1. The venue needs to have either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth beacon (EddystoneTM or iBeacon compliant) infrastructure in place according to the HERE guidelines. Please visit indoor.here.com. for further details on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth beacon requirements.

2. An indoor map of the building is required. There are three different ways this is possible:
2.A) Image-based indoor map: can be imported in the tool in any of the common image formats
2.B) Public HERE Venue Map: HERE has a large database of venue maps for public buildings. Search for the available Public Venue Maps using the search in the app.
2.C) Private HERE Venue Map: please visit venues.here.com to get the building available as a HERE Venue Map for the applications

3. Use HERE Indoor Radio Mapper to collect geo-referenced radio data at the venue. For instructions on how to do this simple step with HERE Indoor Radio Mapper, please see the training video and visit indoor.here.com. The tool also has various features for quality control and testing.

4. Develop applications with powerful HERE Mobile SDK Premium for iOS and Android. It is the fastest way to enable applications with accurate and reliable indoor positioning capabilities. HERE Mobile SDK is available through HERE Developer Portal for free. Making an application enriched with indoor positioning is easy using the reference projects available in GitHub for Android and iOS.

5. Lastly, to get a full picture of the HERE Indoor Positioning capabilities, access HERE Radio Map Admin Tool at indoor.here.com. HERE Radio Map Admin Tool is a web-interface for personnel upkeeping the HERE Indoor Positioning infrastructure at the venue.
