I have been using this app for a few years, but the last two passes I purchased I have not been able to access. I am now out £31.50. What a way to treat key workers!!!

This is the worst application developted for mobile, its an absulut scam. I bought a ticket for my kids and the next day the button for the activating a ticket disappeared. So, the next day I called customer service, they gave me no help at all. Who ever is using this appliciation DON NOT log out or uninstall the application, it will delete all your tickets. In total I lost £20 pounds to this app, even more because I had to leave my job, to pick up my kids from school. DON'T DOWNLOAD THE APP

It's useful for buying mobile tickets but bus timetable information is not the most up to date. I came across a bug today whereby when adding a new payment card the app will not accept ticket payments unless expired cards are deleted, even if not selected as the card being used for a purchase. This was frustrating when trying to buy tickets before the bus arrived.

It use to work, but since the summer 2019 it had not been possible to log in and buy tickets. You can't buy the discounted tickets outside of the app. And if under 16 you can't buy them at all. There is no help and no way to contact the developer. Support is performed via the operators. All very frustrating. This needs to be fixed.

A pretty good app that has made my morning journey a lot simpler. It wasn't easy to figure out exactly which ticket type I needed, although comparing it to my last paper ticket clarified that perfectly. Once I had bought a bulk lot of 10 trips, with a significant ££ saving over the standard fare, the app worked great...

The app works but lacks any personalisation features. It didn't allow you to buy return tickets so there's no point, for me, in using the digital tickets. It lets you 'heart' certain bus stops but I can't find anyway if getting to bus stops I've selected to see their next bus times.

About this app

Intalink is a collaboration of bus and train operators with the Hertfordshire local authorities. This partnership promotes passenger tansport and aims to provide the travelling public with the information needed to make travelling on public transport as easy as possible.

The Intalink Travel Information app helps you on your way when you travel by bus. This app provides real-time departure information for the majority of bus services in Hertfordshire and for all the bus stops in the county. The Intalink Travel Information app also provides for m-ticketing, allowing users to purchase a range of tickets on their phone prior to travel.

Getting bus times on your phone:

Search for any bus stop using a name search. The application will then return a list of bus stops for you to select from. When a bus stop is selected from the returned list, a list of upcoming buses will be displayed. The information about when these buses are scheduled to arrive at the bus stop is shown. If real-time departure information is available then each bus will show the timetabled time and will also show the expected time of arrival to the bus stop, highlighting whether the bus is on time or delayed.

Select a particular bus from the list and that will display the list of bus stops in the route which the bus runs along. This list will detail the name of each bus stop and the distance the bus stop is from your location. A map will be shown on the home screen and this will show your location and the nearby bus stops around where you are is located. Select one of these bus stops on the map and view the buses that are upcoming for that bus stop.

Favourite any bus stops selected. Then when you select the search bar on the home screen a list of the favourited bus stops are displayed in a list before you start to type in the search box.

Buying tickets:

On the homescreen of the Intalink Travel Information app there will be a list of the available bus operators to purchase tickets from.

You can browse the tickets available to purchase from the different operators. These tickets will be organised by operator, then by category. Under a category the tickets available will be listed and you can select it to add it to a basket for eventual purchase.

The app has a ticket wallet that you can access to view all your purchased tickets. All tickets will be displayed and will include ticket name, bus operator, purchased date and time, and passenger name.

Tickets can be purchased using credit/debit card payments. Going forwards when you want to purchase a ticket, you can then select whether to use the card previously used or save a new card. If a previously used card is selected, then you not need to enter the details again as the stored details can be used. Depending on the bus operator Paypal or Google Pay may be available as a payment method. You can enter their account details and pay for their tickets using that account.

When browsing the ticket catalogue, you can add tickets to your basket, including multiples of a particular ticket or different tickets from the same provider.

There will be a checkout page where you can view what you have added to your basket, remove items from your basket or choose to continue to buy the tickets in the basket.

When you complete a successful purchase an email will be automatically generated and sent to your email address that you registered with.

You can choose to gift a ticket after you have purchased it. The other user can claim a gifted ticket by downloading the Intalink Travel Information app and then clicking on the link that you sent to them. This will then create the gifted ticket on the other user’s device in an available status for them to activate when they are ready to.

You will have the option to buy the same tickets as you purchased in previous transactions by selecting the ‘Buy Again’ option.
