The device works well, but software and app support and connectivity is mediocre at best. 1. It typically takes multiple attempts and a delay in the 5-30s range to get a manual color, brightness, or volume change from the app to take effect. 2. Schedules cease to function off of Wifi if you power the device off for any length of time, making it poorly suited to travel. 3. There's no way for a user to remove a device.

The Hatch came highly recommended to me, but I've been very disappointed. I set a single favorite that I couldn't edit without the app crashing & disconnecting from the Hatch itself. After that I would use the app to manually control the Hatch each night since the presets don't work well, but now, the nightlight randomly disconnects from my network and usually won't reconnect without lots of plugging in and unplugging. I have a very stable Internet connection. I like my $15 night light better.

Terrible app. Doesn't work in the slightest. Constant battle to even try to change my alarm time with a "can't save changes" message every time I try. What's the point of having a clock controlled by an app if you provide the most garbage app. Strong wifi connection, everything up to date, the only issue is Hatch provides a sub par app experience with no resolution in sight. I'm sure they'll try and reach out and pass the blame onto a connection issue instead of fixing their end of things.

Disconnecting all the time. I have gen 1 and gen 2 connected. Consistent on not connecting to either when I'm trying to get kids to bed is infuriating. Changing the volume mid sleep to overcome sporadic volume changes in the neighborhood is maddening when it doesn't connect to either one randomly. It refuses to let me remove a morning preset, or make modifications to it, for almost a year now, tried adding a second one it now has them both. My kids wake early now bc the green light turns on.

Best for all kinds of sleepers! Both of our kids are in different stages, and this system is great to customize to each of their changing needs! 4 stars because the transition between cycles is jarring. It completely turns off then back on and has woken my kids up. (Example: transitions from red to green to show they are allowed to get up, by they might still be asleep) We have the original hatch systems, but just received a hatch plus for our third child and we'll need to tinker with it.

Every time I set my hatch settings to the light and sound levels I want, it resets on its own a few seconds later turning the sound down and light way up. So I have to mess with it again to put it back every single time. Then, it will even reset the light setting back way up in the middle of the night somehow which wakes up my baby. And as an exhausted parent you know how incredibly frustrating that is. I'll be looking into other sound machine options.
