8/23 Update: app is still useless, completely counterintuitive and the mobile website is almost as bad. I guess HT doesn't want my money. Why are some items only in-store? It seems random. 3/23: Updated app is useless. Can't search the whole store, can't filter by what's on sale or something like flavor of cheese, has a ton of depts that are just stuff they'll ship to you. I gave up trying to order groceries.

The online shopping app is a total head ache and when ever i use the instacart or pick up feature, its nonstop out of this or that, just about my entire list and even with substitute its a Constant texting conversation, which some people may like but it just makes me feel I have to stop and shop through text. And my Kroger cart is always showing up in the Harristeeter cart, confusing. However going into my Harristeeter is absolute a joy. The employees are very pleasant.

The new app is terrible. There are way too many in-store only items. A lot of items don't show nutrition facts. Doesn't show price per (ounce/pound/serving/etc) for things so it makes it difficult to compare prices on things. The whole thing is just not very intuitive. The old app was more user friendly. The only good thing about this update is the new way of doing substitutions (although sub sections don't show prices). But it's nice to be able to review and approve them from my phone.

The new app is literal cancer. You took a great app that you could have just improved upon and rolled out... This? It was so much easier before to look at the weekly ad and add things to my cart from there. Now it opens in a browser, one item per line, and endless scrolling. Search has so many "featured" items. This isn't social media. We 'add to cart' but doesn't reflect over to the app? So what's the point? Add to list is pointless if we're shopping for pick up.

This upgrade to the app is HORRIBLE. Terrible usability. I've been shopping online with HT for years, so I have a favorites list I use every week. This update is terrible for the favorites list. First, the categorization is gone. Having the dairy or produce grouped together previously was so helpful. Even worse, however, is the fact that is you check the check box for an item on the favorites list, it REMOVES the item from the list as opposed to ADDING the item to your cart.

Essentially Worthless. The app is almost exclusively geared toward those who need or choose to pay for home delivery. As someone who is perfectly capable of walking or biking to the nearest HT, this app has had no value to me to date (particularly since the HT that is closest to me does not warrant inclusion on the app, since it is too "urban" to host delivery). It would be nice if HT thought about adding value for those who don't need their groceries to be dropped at their doorstep.
