Professional tour guides have filled the guide with interesting and entertaining stories, loads of tips and advice on what to do and will point out places of interest as you approach them. There are 160+ commentary points along the drive. Its just like driving around with a local expert.

** Once downloaded, this tour REQUIRES NO DATA to operate and activate, so you won’t incur roaming or data charges. YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A CELLULAR NETWORK CONNECTION TO TOUR!! You will not incur any data roaming charges to use this tour, even if you are from outside Canada. The app does not work the same way as traditional Maps apps, the commentary and maps are not "beamed" into your phone.

Just download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks will block the download because of size - so download over a Wi-Fi network.

After you download the app it only uses GPS signal to tour. GPS signal is FREE. It comes from satellites - not cellular networks.

The on-screen map will display your position and upcoming audio points. You can also preview the tour before you arrive, or re-live your vacation after you return home.

To get to Drumheller, we use highway 72/9 heading eastbound from Highway 2 which connects Calgary and Edmonton. For the 1 hour long drive to Drumheller, we will take you on an easy journey through time from when the world began and dinosaurs roamed this area. Once in Drumheller, there are 2 loop routes to drive and discover the diversity of the region; the Dinosaur Trail, which includes the world-famous Royal Tyrrell Museum, and the Hoodoo Trail, complete with a ghost town, swinging suspension bridge and of course hoodoos.

When its time to leave Drumheller we have a choice of 2 commentary routes; back to Highway 2 through Beiseker, or meander back towards Calgary Airport through the pretty town of Rosebud.
