You can join this tour anywhere along Highway 19 or 11, which is the main road that runs up and down the west coast of the island, where all the Kohala and Kailua-Kona resorts are located. Once you join the tour route, it will follow all the way around the bottom of the island and to Volcanoes National Park, playing commentary all the way to keep you entertained.
Once you reach the National Park, the commentary is designed to show you around to all the best places inside the Park. When you are finished, the tour has all different commentary for the drive back. We follow the same route back to the Kona side of the island because it is faster and many visitor finish up driving at least part of the journey in the dark after a long day of sightseeing.
We do not recommend driving a full circle of the island in the same day as visiting Volcanoes, there is just too much to see and you will miss large parts of enjoying the rest of the island.
