Came across this app while traveling to the Grand Canyon. It was amazing to hear the stories and history. The narrator was entertaining. I never knew that this type of app existed and it even works if you have no cell service. Our future road trips will definitely include Gypsy Guide.

Wonderful! This app saved us during the Covid-19 pandemic. We were able to have a tour without contact with any strangers. It's very informative and the navigation piece makes it awesome.

The narrator does an outstanding job keeping you entertained with great places to see, history about the area, and local places to eat or shop. He can be downright hilarious at times. I have used this tour, the Yellowstone tour, the Grand Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce and Zion. Since the narrator never gives is his name, we nicknamed him Jarvis. Whenever we are heading someplace new, our kids as us if there is a "Jarvis" for it.

So informative! This app is like having a personal tour guide in your car. We would have missed the road to the Grand Canyon sign if not for George ( that's what we named the narrator). Lots of helpful information and we did learn about geology. We liked that it would run in the background and pop on for highlights. Highly recommend for those driving themselves to the canyon.

Great info. Stopped at places along the rim I would have never seen if not for this app. Also, the historical information was great to hear as we drove.

YES! I stumbled upon GyPSy Guide Yellowstone/Teton combo last summer and LOVED it. So when I knew I'd be driving the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, I was thrilled to see that GyPSy Guide had a tour...This is so much better than a physical book or a hired tour guide. I love being able to move through the route at my pace while enjoying fun facts/history/science/etc. Thank you! (PS: Please make more GG's of the West Coast of the US).

EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL

It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide.

GREAT VALUE

The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule.

WORKS OFFLINE

No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country.

DRIVING TOUR ROUTE

Start the tour from either Williams or Flagstaff, Arizona. Or if you are already in the Park, you can join anywhere along the route. If you are arriving from north, on Highway 89, you can join the tour at Cameron, Az.

The tour includes the most popular sightseeing locations and much more:

1) Grand Canyon Village
2) Mather and Yaki Point
3) Desert View Drive
4) Desert View Watchtower
5) Little Colorado River
6) Routes driving towards and away from the park

The tour is designed that if you are accessing the Park from Williams, Flagstaff or Cameron, you will hear stories and tips and advice about what to see and do as you drive towards the Park. The tour tells you about the best places to visit while inside the Park. As you leave, the commentary continues with lots of entertaining stories as you drive back to Williams and Flagstaff.

NOTES

Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. It's important to download over a Wi-Fi network.

++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle.
