This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GuidePal - discover and remember places on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Shame to see a once great app left to rot, the developer claims it is updated yet every version is beset by crashes and unresponsiveness.

This app was much easier to navigate and use in 2011 and it was quite brilliant. Latest app is very difficult to navigate with similar tourist information in different & unexpected sections. Unintuitive. Each section needs to be downloaded / made offline. Not user friendly. Won't connect to the Internet even after uninstalling and reinstalling. All my other apps connect fine. I think this app is dead.

It's got a lot of good features and useful guides, but it has a lot of trouble connecting to the WiFi to make an account/log in so I can't save anything offline or access what was already saved. Quite irritating honesty. I'll be keeping the app hoping for an update but just write down the addresses and use another app to find my way.

On opening the app and trying to sign up it tells me there is no internet connection. All other apps are fine. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, I'll keep it for now.
