The East Asian Symposium on Otology (EASO), which has been held every two years since 2008, was founded to exchange an innovative and comprehensive overview of the latest developments and techniques in the otology field, to invigorate the clinical and basic research and to strengthen ties among the east Asian countries. Driven by Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, and Hong Kong, the EASO activities of the last 10 years Asian countries to establish systematic cooperative network in the otology field and thus have contributed to the academic progress in each country.
