The device hooks up to the MediaStreamer wifi no problem but 3 seconds after opening the app, it crashes without any reason.

I just purchased one of these Smartbox A2 devices and took it with me to Kenya Africa, to transfer off video's from my mission trip off my MotoX Android phone. I would give it 5 stars but when I went to bed at midnight I connected my Phone to the smartbox wifi and transfered over all my current videos and deleted them off my phone.. All was fine, until I woke up in the morning with AT&T texts coming in like crazy saying I was being charged $30 over and over again and then emails saying I was now at $400 in data overage charges! I barely had edge connection on the Kenyan Airtel network, but somehow the smartbox so called only "wifi" app managed to upload over 1.7gb of data onto the Airtel networks and thus causing me to get slammed with a $400 bill and immediate suspension of my data usage by AT&T! This is a Big DO NOT buy and use until this is fixed!! IT should not use any phone data period!!

Why is the support application for a product I purchased asking for access to all of my contacts? How is that relevant to configuring and using this device? To all users of this product: I recommend you switch to a temporary Google account before installing this app, configure your Gigastone device, uninstall, and then go back to your original account. I am strongly considering returning the hardware as I find this type of behavior inexcusable.
