What to do topiary
To create topiary you will need:

Basis: a ball of floristic foam or a regular foam ball with a diameter of 8-12 cm. Buy first in flower shops, and the latter can be found in clerical departments or among products for artists. Instead of a ball, you can use any form of foam or the same floristic foam - then the crown of your tree will be in the form of stars, hearts, letters or numbers.
Elements for crown decoration: it all depends on the original idea and the flight of your imagination! Use flowers, ribbons of beautiful fabric, napkins, bank notes, and so on.
Barrel: you can build it from a straight and dry dense branch or the most ordinary pencil.
Elements for decorating the trunk: for a start, paint the blank for the trunk with a matt varnish. You can leave it this way, but if you like, you can decorate it with one or two beautiful ribbons.
Pot for topiariya: it is best to use a clay pot, but it will be nice to look neat little tree and in a pretty cup.
Special fixing mixture: so that the topiary is securely fixed in the base, prepare a mixture of alabaster - it freezes quickly enough, is inexpensive and does not begin to crack with time. If you only have putty or plaster on hand, it will also fit. In the most extreme case, the same foam plastic or stones will help to fix the topiary in the pots.
