Update. Still the best garage control. No real problems with this app or hardware at all. Switched to this and it was an easy install. Work's great!! Superb customer service too. Good bye Nexx Garage!

Please steer clear of this product... The hardware is fine, but this software is the crutch of the system. Whoever wrote this android app has no idea what push notifications are, or how they work. I do not want the geofencing features, and yet the app stays constantly running in the background, chewing up my battery. Even after revoking location permissions, the thing keeps running. If you force quit the app, notifications no longer work, which is clear evidence that they're not using real push notifications. This would explain why the app has to be constantly running in the background. Come on guys, I can scroll through your reviews and see that people have been fighting this issue for almost a year! Get a grip! Are you joking? Learn how to write an android app!

Can't trust the close by itself feature.. Piece of trash is always offline. Buy MyQ instead. Edit: I can't tell you what it is, or do tests, because few hours later went back active. And no, it's not wifi strength (good try), my tri-band Wi-Fi 6 runs at 700mbps minimum in my garage at all times. You don't even allow for auto closing to do that at a closer distance than 250 ft, so basically when out of visual reach...

There was a disconnect that resulted in the apparent lack of response noted below. Since then they have been VERY responsive to me and the issues I face with this app. Great idea, works great for me but the Android app is a MONSTER BATTERY HOG. As a professional Enterprise Mobility Engineer I know something about these devices so I wrote the company and offered a number of viable ways to limit battery consumption - and this is what earns them a one star rating.

The app is broken. It suddenly started randomly opening and closing one of the garage doors. I tried restarting the app and finally uninstalled and reinstalled. After the reinstall the opening page does not show a link or button that allows an existing user to log in.
