Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing TaxiPool on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

If you want to go home after a great party but don't want to pay for the taxi ride alone, no problem! Open Taxipool, sign in using your Google account or Facebook and tell us where do you want to go and when.

We will find you the best group we possibly can to accompany you so that the trip will be less expensive and not too long. In the meantime you may close the app and we will send you a notification when we've found a group for you.

After we've found a group we will show you where to meet with them and offer you directions via Google maps. If you wish you can also send the other members of the group a message using the app's chat option.

Once you're almost home we hope that you consider rating the people you've shared a cab with, as we use those ratings to find you the best group possible.

Other features include:
- A user profile system so you can get basic information about other group members.
- A report system to let us know if a user has misbehaved.
- Saving your destination so next time you won't have to enter it.
- Using your phone's current location instead of specifying it explicitly.

Requirements:
- Android 5.0 (LOLLIPOP) and above.
