There doesn't appear to be a way to open Google PDF Viewer on its own. As others have said, Viewer isn't a standalone app, which greatly limits its functionality. I ended up using the XODO PDF Viewer instead. Anytime I download a pdf, XODO will pop up and allow me to read the PDF immediately without having to search for it. On the other hand, searching for an already-downloaded PDF is a breeze. There is even a pull-out side-bar menu with an "SD" selector to zip right there — perfect!

Hello friends U people are saying that this app is not shown in the home screen! Well it becomes like an inbuilt app in your mobile phone/tab.(u can delete this app from playstore itself), so the app will not be shown in the mobile screen. In fact try opening the pdf file, it will open through this app only... Thank you GOOGLE. I LIKE TO GET A JOB IN GOOGLE. I ALSO LIKE TO LEARN COMPUTER PROGRAMMING, CODING AND ALSO BECOME A (PROFESSIONAL GAMER).... ANY WAY THANKS...

Not a very good PDF viewer. I needed a PDF viewer to read some books. When i opened my mathematics book it is showing <, > instead of +, -. Not only this, when i opened my another book of sanskrit subject it is showing some of the words in an unreadable english word. Then i thkught that the PDF of books has some glitch but when i opened both the PDF's in google chrome in my PC it opened normally. Then why it showing like this in this viewer? Maybe you will solve this. 😕

Five stars because of the perfect text search, that is what I needed most in a pdf viewer. Some other apps are able to search text but only in a single page. This app searches words in all pages. Recommendation: Developers can learn from other apps and add settings for horizontal page view, single page view, a night mode, and search for page number... That would be the pdf viewer of the decade 💪💪

I hav used this app previously and im 100% sure that you would like it i have seen some people complaining about "cant search pdf files" but the solution is to have a proper file manager like "files go" on your device and you cant complain about that in here in the review And thank you google tor providing us with agreat application

"Adding a TEXT HIGHLIGHT feature would be great. Hope to add a TEXT HIGHLIGHT feature in the next update." This is the best PDF reader I have ever used. Very simple user interface, lightweight, fastest PDF reader. Really I have had a great experience using it.
