This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GoMetro Traffic on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. GoMetro Traffic is a non-GPS Traffic Alerts app for SA - just save your usual trip and we will do the rest.

Before 7am every morning, 8 million South Africans get into their cars to travel to work. Before 3pm, those same 8 million South Africans start thinking about the trip home. Real-time Traffic Alerts are sent to you in real-time without burning your GPS or affecting battery life. Think of us as a loadshedding app, but for traffic - there is always traffic! GoMetro Traffic alerts you to incidents and traffic reports along your route.

This app is ideal if your daily commute is by private vehicle in a South African city.

What you need to do to use this service:

* Enter your work and home address and normal time of travel
* Choose your preferred route from the options
* We will watch your route for any incidents along the way at your normal travel times
* GoMetro Traffic will send you a push message if there is an incident along your normal route
* You can then select an alternative or navigate to home

Traffic congestion is a major source of frustration for every urban dweller - especially in South Africa. GoMetro Traffic wants to keep you informed about the status of traffic before you set off.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
GoMetro is not liable for the quality or correctness of navigation, alert or any related transport data.
For the full experience of the application, push notifications should be turned on.
GoMetro stores trip data and user data in order to deliver the app service.
