Affected by anything unless you are in the middle of a deserted land. Shows North to be South and vise versa. Not a usable tool to determine direct in relationship to True North. Do no download as it is a waste if time to use.

I was on a tower replacing an antenna. I pulled out my phone and used my compass app to orient the antenna just 5° from due East. I did it all with only my free hand. Thank-you for a very useful tool.

I'm nowhere near a pro at these kind of things but I like the way the site is laid out and the means of calibrating my device. Thank you sir, or ma'am as may be appropriate. Robert Ludgate

Easy to understand and use. We use it when the Space Station flies over. NASA has an app that sends a text when it will be visable then gives the info on where it will come from, disappear and time in minutes that it will be visable. This compass helps us get set up for viewing.

I have been using this app for a few years now but just never got around to leaving a feedback. It pretty good and, so far, has been quite accurate. I compared the app along with a real magnetic compass and the app was within 1 to 2 degrees in accuracy. I think it will be more accurate if I try it outdoors, but since this app, like all of the others, rely heavily on your phone's GPS, the accuracy may not be 100%. Regardless, to me, this app does work well and I will recommend it to anyone.

There's room for improvement on this app. Some inconsistencies in direction especially when you rotate your phone per instructions.
