Update: issue has been fixed; updated rating accordingly App constantly crashes on launch, making the custom function of the brewer useless :(

Would never connect to the brewer. Then the brewer broke completely after about 6 months of occasional use.

Upon launch, app flashes splash screen and immediately crashes. I've deleted cache and app data and get the same result. Looks like it hasn't been updated since December 2018. I got an email about the silicone handle and thought, ”I should find this thing” and was excited about using it, but am a little surprised that many months after its release, the app is non-functional. :(

I recommend you do not spend money with this company. I bought the brewer in part because this app was an advertised feature. - forces you to create an account if you want to control a brewer - will not let you select an actual wifi network, just "" - requires entry of a wifi password, even when there is no password - error messages in mangled, unintelligible English - confusing user interface I cannot connect my brewer to this app and wish I had not bought the brewer.

Love this app and the associated Tea Brewer. Aside from slower than usual updates to the app, everything works as expected and allows me to control time, tea type, temperature, etc...
